Tightrope

I wrote and directed this short animated film, produced by Digital Domain.

The allegorical story finds two characters walking on a tightrope towards each other, one a colorful jester, and the other a masked man wearing a dark suit. They soon meet in the middle, in a seemingly inescapable situation.

The visual direction pits reality against fantasy and detail against ambiguity to create a style that might be called "photo-surrealism."
